Welcome to Blindly. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Blindly is designed for people seeking meaningful relationships — these terms reflect that intent.
1. Eligibility
To use Blindly, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (the app is designed for ages 25–55+)
- Be legally able to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned from Blindly for violations
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these terms.
3. The Blind Mechanic
Blindly's core feature is the blind matching system. By using the service, you understand and agree that:
- Photos and stories are presented in separate, independent pools
- You will not see the full identity of a person until a mutual match occurs
- Match reveals happen only when both users have independently selected each other — no single-sided reveals ever
- You are choosing character before appearance, by design
Attempting to circumvent the blind mechanic (e.g., embedding identifying information in prompts to bypass the system) may result in account suspension.
4. Community Standards
Blindly is a community built on respect and intentionality. You agree not to:
- Upload photos containing nudity, explicit content, or violent imagery
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Send unsolicited sexual content or harassing messages
- Use the platform for commercial solicitation or spam
- Attempt to extract personal information from matches beyond what is revealed
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
- Engage in any activity designed to manipulate matching algorithms
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Free tier: Includes 3 batch rounds per day, 1 active chat, and basic filters. Matching itself is never gated behind a paywall.
Paid tiers (Plus, Full): Offer additional rounds, chats, and features as described on our pricing page. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis.
Founding membership: A limited, one-time offer with lifetime benefits as described at the time of purchase.
Tokens: Tokens are earned through engagement (referrals, seasonal answers, fresh photos, conversation matches). Tokens are never purchasable with real money — this is a core design principle. Tokens have no cash value and are non-transferable.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for the remaining billing period.
Refunds: We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@getblindly.app for refund inquiries.
6. Content & Photos
By uploading photos and writing prompts, you grant Blindly a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content to other users as part of the matching service. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
You retain ownership of all content you upload. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe on third-party rights.
Photos expire automatically after 60 days. You will receive a notification 14 days before expiry. Expired photos are permanently deleted from our servers.
7. Matches & Communication
Graceful exit: Either user may end a conversation at any time using our graceful exit feature. This sends a respectful closure message to the other person. No one gets ghosted — this is a core brand promise.
“We're Dating”:When both users in a match mutually opt in, the match status is changed to “dating.” This represents the product working as intended.
Progressive reveals:Information about your match is revealed gradually as your conversation progresses (at message milestones). You agree not to pressure matches into revealing information outside of the app's reveal system.
48-hour chat window: Active chats have a 48-hour window. This is intentional — it encourages meaningful, timely conversation over endless browsing.
8. Blindly Score
Your Blindly Score reflects your engagement quality in the app. It is calculated based on your selection rate (40%), match rate (35%), and response rate (25%). The score is recalculated daily and affects your placement in matching pools.
Score tiers:
- Featured (85–100) — Boosted pool frequency
- Active (60–84) — Normal placement
- Flagged (40–59) — Private notification sent
- Deprioritized (<40) — Reduced pool frequency
Your exact score and rating are never shared with other users.
9. Limitation of Liability
Blindly is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match or a relationship through our service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blindly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, emotional distress, or any interactions with other users.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Blindly in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in harmful behavior, or if required by law.
Upon termination, your profile is immediately removed from matching pools. Personal data is purged within 30 days per our privacy policy.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall first be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting support@getblindly.app. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
You agree to pursue claims only in your individual capacity, not as part of any class or representative action.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of Blindly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
